Police are warning of some scam phone calls doing the rounds, targeting North East residents.
There has been reports of people getting phone calls from someone pretending to be from Amazon. These phone calls ask you to confirm your personal details including your bank details to process refunds or to cancel your Amazon Prime membership.
These phone calls are NOT from Amazon. Amazon will never ring you – unless you have specifically requested a phone call from them (and even then probably not!).
Please hang up the phone, do not confirm any details and do not give them access to your computer.
We are delighted to be the sponsors of Tynemouth Golf Club’s senior squad for the 2019 season. Here they are in their TheTechTeam sponsored shirts, looking very smart! We wish them the very best for the season – and dry weather!
We are pleased to announce that from the 1st June 2019, Solvetech Support will be merging with another very similar business ComputersByJonny to form TheTechTeam.
Our companies have worked together frequently in the past, we have been colleagues for seven years and feel that by joining our two businesses we can offer our customers an even better service. The merger will allow us to offer faster response times, provide a team of experts and offer additional services such as one to one training.
You can still expect to receive the same personalised, high quality service that you have come to expect as we will still be visiting your home or office – we completely appreciate how important personal working relationships are.
This is an extremely exciting time for us all, and we’re delighted that you’ll be part of the next stage of our business – this has been made possible by the support you have all offered over the last few years so thank you again for your support of my business.
As always, if you have any questions please get in touch with us and we’d be happy to discuss it further.
Jonny & Graham
A report from Which? magazine has suggested that Amazon’s rating system is being distorted by fake reviews.
The Which? report looked at headphones and found that the top rated items were all from unknown manufacturers, often based in China. The glowing five star reviews were all unverified reviews which means that Amazon couldn’t confirm the person had bought the product before leaving a review – suggesting that these reviews could be fabricated by the manufacturer themselves or by paying people to leave reviews on items they haven’t purchased.
So if you’re considering buying something from Amazon make sure to read the reviews rather than relying on the star rating system.
We are delighted to have been accepted onto the Natwest Business Accelerator Scheme, which is a programme for “high growth potential businesses” to help them scale their business.
NatWest are going to provide us with additional office space, coaching, mentoring and access to their partner to help grow the business over the next 6 to 18 months. We have high hopes for the scheme and hope to grow our business whilst maintaining the levels of personal service we offer.
The programme starts on 8th April.
